Ms. McFeters came to
Columbia Hospital School of Nursing from Hamline University in St.
Paul, Minnesota in 1958, where she taught Introduction to Nursing.
Her dedication and enthusiasm in the teaching of nursing principles
and their application will long be remembered and practiced by her
Fundamentals of Nursing students. The year 1967 saw
the separation of the school and nursing service. Ms. McFeters became
Director of the Columbia Hospital School of Nursing and Miss Grace
Larson became Director of Nursing Service at the hospital. Ms. McFeters
became Director Emeritus in August, 1973 and retired in December
of 1974.
Ms. McFeters was graduated from the three year program of the University
of Minnesota School of Nursing in 1932. She received the Bachelor
of Science degree in Education in 1934, and a Masters of Education
degree in 1958, from the University of Minnesota.
