Columbia College of Nursing (CCON) offers a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with a focus on the Clinical Nurse Leader. CCON graduate students develop advanced skills essential to providing high-quality care for patients, families, and communities. These skills include, but are not limited to, collaboration, ethical decision making, diversity competence, and critical thinking. Graduates are able to develop, implement, and evaluate processes and programs that ensure smooth transitions throughout the continuum of care. Ultimately, MSN graduates shape the nursing profession and embrace life-long learning that integrates evidence-based practice, research, and professional development.
The nursing program is approved by the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The baccalaureate program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, (202) 887-6791. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Program will undergo the CCNE accreditation review in 2015.
Columbia College is affiliated with Columbia St. Mary's Health Systems, and has affiliations with Mount Mary University, University of Wisconsin-Waukesha and Lakeland College.
