NSNA's mission is to mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, and to convey the standards, ethics, and skills that students will need as responsible and accountable leaders and members of the profession.
CMM SNA is a group of student nurses with the goal of making a difference in our college and our community. We aim to develop ourselves personally and professionally. As members we represent fellow nursing students and the future of nursing. Our chapter's Student Nurse Association helps prepare students for the nursing profession. We have a responsibility to recognize and help meet the needs of our diverse community.
"Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an
exclusive devotion as hard a preparation, as any painter's or sculptor's
work; for what is the having to do with dead canvas or dead marble,
compared with having to do with the living body, the temple of God's
spirit? it is one of the Fine Arts: I had almost said, the finest of
~ Florence Nightingale.
When you join the National Student Nurse's Association (NSNA) you become a member of CMM SNA and the Wisconsin Student Nurses Association (WSNA). This gives members a voice in our state and across the nation. We can have a say in important issues that affect health care and more specifically nursing.
Bot the WSNA and NSNA hold annual and mid-year conferences. These are not only a lot of fun but also provide an opportunity to meet other student nurses across the state or nation, attend infomrational sessions, and get information on job opportunities.
"It is not how much you do, but how much love you put in the doing."
2015-2016 meetings to be scheduled.
