  • Tobacco and excessive alcohol use

  • HPV (human papilloma virus)

  • Occupational exposures (asbestos, wood/nickel dust, formaldehyde)  

KNOW THE SYMPTOMS.

  • Mouth sores that don’t heal

  • Headaches or earaches

  • Difficulty breathing, speaking or swallowing

  • Sinus infections that don’t respond to antibiotic treatment

  • Swelling or lump in the neck or under the chin
